File Under Madness
Derek Chauvin was convicted of murder without access to the full autopsy report and samples.
In short, the Prosecutor and Judge tried a man for murder without establishing the cause of death and allowing the accused to review all aspects of an autopsy.
Remember this at Jury Duty as you are being conned, lied to and manipulated to the nth degree by Judges and Prosecutors.
Reminds me of King County Prosecutors of Seattle, Washington, where Jason Simmons stated that the "only thing the state needed to prove" in a child sexual assault allegation was "a birth certificate."
These folks are indeed mad and there is little use in talking logic with them.
Such Judges and Prosecutors are peverse. They are perverts of juriprudence.
Proverbs 19:1
Better a poor man whose walk is blameless than a fool whose lips are perverse.
Consider: Derek Chauvin – George Floyd Autopsy
Dr. William Schaetzel expressed his belief that Floyd’s death resulted from a heart condition known as takotsubo cardiomyopathy, which, while typically temporary, can severely affect the heart muscle.
The legal team representing former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin has been granted permission to examine heart and fluid samples from George Floyd’s autopsy. U.S. District Judge Paul Magnuson approved the request on Monday after Chauvin’s lawyers argued that Floyd’s death was due to a heart condition. At the time of his arrest for allegedly using a counterfeit bill, Floyd was also under the influence of fentanyl.
“Given the significant nature of the criminal case for which [Chauvin] was convicted and the potential of the sought discovery to support the pathologist’s opinion regarding Mr. Floyd’s death, the Court finds good cause to permit [Chauvin] to access the discovery,” Magnuson stated in his ruling. As a result, Chauvin’s attorneys will be able to test histology slides and tissue samples taken during Floyd’s autopsy.
Prosecutors contended that Chauvin’s knee was pressed against Floyd’s neck during the restraint, which they argued was fatal. Chauvin was found guilty in Floyd’s death, an incident that triggered widespread unrest and protests during the 2020 Black Lives Matter movement. Floyd died in police custody in Minneapolis on May 25, 2020, leading to protests and violence that spread to cities nationwide, with damages estimated in the billions by insurance companies.
Chauvin received a 21-year prison sentence and is actively seeking to reverse his conviction, citing “ineffective assistance of counsel” from his former attorney, Eric Nelson. Chauvin claims that Nelson failed to follow up on a forensic pathologist’s opinion suggesting that he was not responsible for Floyd’s demise. Dr. Schaetzel indicated that he believes Floyd’s passing was due to takotsubo cardiomyopathy, which can significantly impact the heart despite being a temporary condition.
Other officers present during the incident, Tou Thao, J. Alexander Kueng, and Thomas Lane, also faced convictions. Thao was sentenced to four years and nine months for aiding in Chauvin’s second-degree manslaughter charges, while Kueng received a three-and-a-half-year sentence on concurrent state and federal charges. Lane was sentenced to three years overall, which includes a concurrent two-and-a-half-year federal sentence.
