True Christians do not participate in fun on Halloween night, for they cannot help but weep for those who perish in this sin.
Woe to you who are well fed now, for you will go hungry. Woe to you who laugh now, for you will mourn and weep. (Luke 6:25)
True Christians are considered strange because they do not behave like the world.
They think it strange that you do not plunge with them into the same flood of dissipation, and they heap abuse on you. (1 Peter 4:4)
Churches that truly follow Christ will not use gimmicks, such as Hell Houses or Harvest alternative parties, in an attempt to promote Christianity and draw youth into their groups.
This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. (1 Corinthians 2:13)
For they mouth empty, boastful words and, by appealing to the lustful desires of sinful human nature, they entice people who are just escaping from those who live in error. They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity–for a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him.
(2 Peter 2:18-19)
Because witchcraft and debauchery are not matters for fun.
The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft;… (Galatians 5:19-20)
True Christians do not adopt the customs of others.
They did not destroy the peoples as the Lord had commanded them, but they mingled with the nations and adopted their customs. (Psalms 106:34-35)
Therefore come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you. (2 Corinthians 6:17)
You cannot eat the food of demons and the food of the Lord at the same time.
You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot have a part in both the Lord’s table and the table of demons. (1 Corinthians 10:21)
Christians do not march in parades celebrating the sin of Halloween.
The look on their faces testifies against them; they parade their sin like Sodom; they do not hide it. Woe to them! They have brought disaster upon themselves. (Isaiah 3:9)
True Christians do not dress up in costumes on Halloween night.
. . . snatch others from the fire and save them; to others show mercy, mixed with fear–hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh. (Jude 1:23)
Christians do not use the name of Jesus as an excuse for worldly fun.
When Aaron saw this, he built an altar in front of the calf and announced, “Tomorrow there will be a festival to the Lord.” So the next day the people rose early and sacrificed burnt offerings and presented fellowship offerings. Afterward, they sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in revelry. (Exodus 32:5-6)
Christians do not “cross over” to the world. Instead, they preach the cross of Christ and invite the world to cross over from death to life.
You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. (James 4:4)
To be sure, there is no such thing as Halloween Alternative in the mind of Christ

Former Salt Shaker Bookstore
The Salt Shaker Christian bookstore, because of persecution by Washington State Authorities, was destroyed and ran out of the town of Enumclaw. Just part of the proof that Sound Doctrine Church was walking the narrow road with Jesus.

It was a beautiful store. A result of the hard work of Sound Doctrine Church. In the store was a free rack because, as Jesus said, "Freely you received, freely give." The following track is a small reproduction of the love that burned in our hearts to give freely.
