Blind Calling To The Blind
Naturally this came as a shock to those who voted for Trump out of idolatry.
Now, these same blind preachers are calling out the "heretic."
Blind preachers who have themselves so compromised the gospel call that they are unfit to judge other "heratics." See Cultural Christianity.
Jesus also told them this parable: "Can a blind man lead a blind man? Will they not both fall into a pit?" Luke 6:39

Christians Outraged as Trump Appoints ‘Heretical’ Preacher to Head White House Faith Office
Donald Trump has ignited a controversy among prominent Christians following his selection of a contentious televangelist to lead the White House Faith Office.
On Friday, the president signed an executive order establishing the White House Faith Office, appointing Paula White, his longtime spiritual adviser, to spearhead the initiative.
During his first term, Trump set up a similar office and frequently sought counsel from a select group of evangelical advisors.
However, the decision has incited anger among Christian leaders who contend that White, a megachurch pastor from Florida, promotes a version of the gospel that critics believe exploits vulnerable individuals.
White instructs her followers that God will bless them if they contribute to her church, suggesting specific amounts exceeding one thousand dollars to secure their ‘salvation.’
"This is an abomination," wrote Christian motivational speaker Scott Ross on X. "She preaches the heresies of Word of Faith & Prosperity Gospel, both completely contradictory to genuine Christianity. Even worse, she has led a life filled with scandal, with multiple husbands, twisting the Gospel for profit."
Despite the backlash, White’s teachings have influenced Trump, who first reached out to her by phone in 2002 after viewing one of her broadcasts.
The minister, married to rockstar and Journey lead singer Jonathan Cain, is also an advocate of ‘Prosperity Gospel’ and ‘Word of Faith,’ both linking financial donations to churches and religious initiatives to personal health and wealth.
The White House commended White as an advocate for "religious freedom and humanitarian rights, and representing the voiceless" in a statement announcing her appointment.
On Thursday, Trump declared his intention to create the White House Faith Office and tasked Attorney General Pam Bondi with leading a mission to eradicate what he termed anti-Christian bias in the federal government.
However, the response was swift, sending shockwaves through Trump’s Christian support base.
Ross, an Orthodox Christian leader located in Texas, deemed White’s appointment the "worst and most dangerous" action Trump could undertake. "Lord, have mercy on our country and this administration," he posted on X.
Christian blogger Chris Hohnholz stated on X: "Not every choice he makes will be a home run, we understand that. But this? This is a disaster. @realDonaldTrump, you need to change course on this ASAP. Paula White is not biblically qualified to be a pastor; she is a false teacher leading people to Hell. Do not do this, sir."
A supporter identified as TexasClare on X commented: "True evangelicals who have Trump’s ear (like @Franklin_Graham) need to get him off the ‘Pastor’ Paula White train."
John Mason, host of the Living God’s Truth podcast, remarked: "Though President Trump is upholding laws aligning with our values, it does not indicate he comprehends what biblical Christianity is or its importance. Paula White is a recognized heretic and false teacher who disregards the Gospel of Jesus Christ."
Jon Root, a conservative YouTuber, added: "This is the worst decision President Trump has made since taking office… Paula White is a heretic who promotes the prosperity gospel. Additionally, women should not hold pastoral roles according to The Bible."
In 2017, White clarified her stance, asserting that she would "reject any theology that does not recognize the full scope of scriptural teaching regarding God’s presence and blessings in both suffering and prosperity." This follows a televised Easter sermon in 2016 where she solicited specific donations from her congregation to illustrate their faith in the resurrection."God is prompting someone to minimize their screen and click that donation button, contributing $1,144. While I don’t often make specific requests, divine instruction compels me to share this message. This is not intended for everyone, but for someone in particular. By giving $1,144, inspired by John 11:44, I believe we can embrace resurrection life," stated White.
The pastor urged her congregation: "So go ahead, minimize that screen, and right now, plant your miracle resurrection seed as we join in faith together, believing for your miracle."
The concept of prosperity gospel has been largely dismissed as unbiblical and heretical by the majority of Christian scholars and theologians, including evangelicals.
In 2017, Southern Baptist theologian Russell D. Moore remarked to the Washington Post, "Paula is a charlatan and deemed a heretic by every orthodox Christian, no matter their background."
On Thursday, Trump announced his plans to establish a White House faith office, appointing Attorney General Pam Bondi to lead a task force aimed at combating what he termed anti-Christian bias in the federal government.
During the National Prayer Breakfast at the U.S. Capitol, Trump advocated for "unity," stating that his relationship with faith has "changed" following two assassination attempts last year.
At another prayer breakfast in Washington, he adopted a more partisan approach, celebrating recent efforts to push back against "woke" culture and detailing plans to protect Christians from religious discrimination.
"The mission of this task force is to swiftly eliminate any anti-Christian bias and discrimination within the federal government, including the DOJ, IRS, FBI, and other agencies," Trump asserted.
The president pledged to issue an executive order to have Bondi oversee the task force and committed to rigorously prosecuting anti-Christian violence and vandalism, seeking to defend the rights of Christians and religious individuals across the nation.
While Trump did not provide specific examples of anti-Christian bias, he previously suggested that the Biden administration utilized the federal government to target Christians.
Biden’s administration outlined strategies in December to counter anti-Muslim and anti-Arab sentiment, and similarly addressed antisemitism in September 2023.
Trump’s latest actions could raise constitutional concerns regarding the separation of church and state, as the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution restricts government endorsement of religion.
Having become a prominent figure within conservative American Christianity, Trump frequently references a religious calling since surviving an assassination attempt last year. "Many have said that God spared my life for a reason," he has remarked to supporters at various gatherings.
In the past three election cycles, White evangelical Christian voters, crucial to the Republican base, have consistently supported Trump.
He has adopted a conservative Christian perspective and policies that resonate with the community’s anxieties surrounding evolving gender norms and family structures.
Trump had previously set up a similar office during his first term and regularly sought counsel from a select group of evangelical advisors.
He also announced plans to create a new commission on religious liberty, criticizing the Biden administration for what he called the "persecution" of believers stemming from actions against anti-abortion activists.
"If we lack religious liberty, we lose our freedom as a country," he asserted.
"I have been appointed to oversee the White House Faith Office," White shared in a statement on X.
"This office will collaborate with Attorney General Pam Bondi to fight against discrimination towards Christians in federal institutions and to uphold religious liberties throughout the nation!"
She had previously served as an advisor to President Trump through the White House Faith and Opportunity Initiative and chaired his Evangelical Advisory Board.
Cultural Christianity
————
Cultural Christianity is characterized by a belief in Jesus that emerges from engaging with the Bible, attending sermons, reading commentaries, and being shaped by a religious environment. This faith in Jesus originates from worldly influences, enabling individuals to maintain their lifestyles while superficially claiming Jesus as Lord. However, such a faith falls short of genuine salvation. It sharply contrasts with the full gospel message, which calls for complete surrender, a readiness to bear one’s cross, and a commitment to follow the Holy Spirit—even in ways that may be uncomfortable or challenge personal beliefs. Essentially, those who practice cultural Christianity often lack an understanding of the true demands of the cross. More information [ found here ]
A Test
A test of whether a person, group or organization is tethered to Cultural Christianity can be measured by how deeply and joyfully they agree and promote the whole gospel here on The Consider Podcast. In short, if you can honestly tell others to listen to The Consider Podcast, you may have escaped Cultural Christianity.
What? Offended already?
As for those who seemed to be important–whatever they were makes no difference to me; God does not judge by external appearance–those men added nothing to my message. Galatians 2:6
