“OLYMPIA – In his first appointment to the state Supreme Court, Gov. Jay Inslee replaced the high court’s most conservative member with its first Asian-American, first Latina and first openly gay member. Inslee named King County Superior Court Judge Mary Yu to the seat vacated by Justice Jim Johnson, who is stepping down in the middle of his term for health reasons. She was appointed to the Superior Court by then-Gov. Gary Locke in 2000. After voters approved same-sex marriage in 2012, Yu performed the first gay wedding in King County at 12:01 a.m. on the day the law took effect. Johnson is a former assistant attorney general who handled many of the state’s toughest cases, then had a private practice specializing in constitutional law where he was involved in several initiative campaigns. He wrote the initiative that gave the state its current top-two primary and successfully defended it before the U.S. Supreme Court. He won his seat in the 2004 election and was re-elected easily in 2010. On the state Supreme Court, Johnson was a voice for a strict separation of powers and limited government. He was a dissenting voice on the landmark McCleary case that ordered the Legislature to do more to live up to its constitutional mandate that education of children is the state’s paramount duty. Asked where she would put herself on the liberal-to-conservative spectrum, Yu replied: “I can’t really say … I’ve never been wedded to a particular view or philosophy.” For a trial judge, she added, philosophy isn’t as important as applying the law to everyday cases. Had Governor Jay Inslee asked those who do not believe in global warming to raise their hands and then cautioned everyone else to respect, listen and attempt to work together that would have been a positive step. That each group could work together to solve various environmental problems, though, for a differing reason, that would have been productive.
It is clear in the State of Washington you had better tow their political, and Bible doctrines, or they will allow the hatred, the boycotts and prosecutions to unrelentingly unfold.

Ignore his excuses, as there are plenty of things he can do just as he did for those who believe in being gay.

In fact, the last 3 minutes of jury summation Prosecutor Jason Simmons declared the “church will go on” and “Timothy Williams writes the books.” By that time the jury was primed with hatred and ready for the lynching. The jury came back with a “guilty verdict” and shut down the church from a trial that presented zero evidence.
The State of Washington relished attacking Sound Doctrine Church, Winepress Publishing and Salt Shaker Bookstore because it involved Christianity. Prosecutor Jason Simmons from day one stated, “heard it was a cult” and then proceeded to obstruct the truth. The joke is everything is called a cult these days, and the word is so meaningless it is easy to prove that King County Prosecutor Satterberg is running a cult down at King County. Indeed, in terms of factual evidence, it is easily proven that King County Prosecutors have formed their own cult.
In fact, Malcolm Fraser was denied a bond hearing. King County Prosecutors got a judge to set Mr. Fraser’s bail without ever hearing one word from the defense. To repeat, there was no lawyer at Mr. Fraser’s bond hearing because Prosecutor Dan Satterberg manipulated the law so that no bond hearing took place.

If Prosecutor Dan Satterberg’s office doesn’t want to give a bond hearing, there is a law to cover that, and if he does want to allow a bond hearing, there is a law for that also. Thus the whole concept of The Law is rendered void.
Since judges will not hold back prosecutors, all we are left with are agenda-driven prosecutions and governors.
In short, Prosecutor Dan Satterberg is telling the truth and lying at the same time because Governor Jay Inslee is only interested in political gain that can come from attacking Christians. Some of the King County Prosecutors and Judges claim to be Christians and Satterberg uses this front as a cover for his fraudulent prosecutions. An ACLU spokesman said the group has no figures on the party affiliations of its new members. He said it’s a myth the group is solely liberal anyway.
“Our client is the Bill of Rights,” said Doug Honig. “Many of our stances are neither ‘right’ nor ‘left’ per se, so that helps in Republicans becoming members.”
Vance, who is one of the few “Never Trump” Republicans who have remained vocal since the election, said Satterberg is “a classic moderate Republican”— the very type who might be troubled by Trump’s norms-smashing overreach.
“Satterberg just cares about the law and the Constitution and making it work in the criminal justice system,” said Vance, who used to be on the Metropolitan King County Council. “He should be worried about Trump.”
It will be interesting to see if any broader Trump concern spreads in the GOP. Despite Friday’s court victory in the travel-ban case, Trump skeptics have very little political clout in the national government. It will be difficult to check or mitigate his more extreme actions without some healthy skepticism also coming from within his own party.
