- Then Simeon blessed them and said to Mary, his mother: “This child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be spoken against, so that the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your own soul too.” (Luke 2:34-35)
- My lover spoke and said to me, “Arise, my darling, my beautiful one, and come with me. (Song of Solomon 2:10)
- Jesus replied: ” ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'” (Matthew 22:37)
- “But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,” (Luke 6:27)
- Large crowds were traveling with Jesus, and turning to them he said: “If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters–yes, even his own life–he cannot be my disciple. And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple.” (Luke 14:25-27)
- But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, (Matthew 5:44)
- The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. (John 12:25)

song: my soul does bleed
Jesus will cause
the thoughts of many hearts to be revealed.
A sword will pierce your own soul too.

My Soul Does Bleed
by The Consider Podcast
The song My Soul Does Bleed is based on Song of Solomon 2:10, Luke 2:34-35, 6:27, 14:25-27 and John 12:25.
The song is about the conviction of sin, repentance, and the joy of redemption from all our self-centered loves. The song communicates the cost of loving only God and His will. Only from His holiness will a disciple of Jesus know how and, more importantly, be given the power to love others. This is the suffering that must be endured if disciples are to be free from sin-stained loves – no matter how noble we think those loves are.
As the sufferings are endured, learned from, and overcome then, and only then might we genuinely love others. [footnote]1 Thessalonians 4:9 Now about brotherly love we do not need to write to you, for you God has taught you to love each other. [/footnote]
This song concerns the heart of the Living God and the faith of Abraham. [footnote]John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”[/footnote] [footnote]Genesis 22:2 Then God said, “Take your son, your only son, Isaac, whom you love, and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains I will tell you about.” [/footnote]

My Soul Does Bleed
Lyrics by The Consider Podcast
My lover sang to me and my soul bleeds
He speaks and I seek but now my soul bleeds
I call Him Lord and praise His deeds, but my soul bleeds
…ooh …hmm..
Does it bleed, does it bleed because my Savior sang to me
Does it bleed, does it bleed because my Savior sang to me
I hate my wife and even my own life
I hate my family, friends and foe …no …oh
His love demands a cross to carry which none can tarry …and my soul does bleed
Does it bleed, does it bleed because my Savior sang to me
Does it bleed, does it bleed because my Savior sang to me
Because my Savior sang to me …sang to me
Cross crucified loves and my soul bleeds
His love arose because my soul did bleed
His love arose and my soul does sing His song
I heard His song and the chorus did join, my soul does sing His song
My soul does sing …does sing …does sing …His song.

Repentance
The Consider Podcast knows what it is to fear God. It is time for all men and women to repent. It is time for the Christian church to repent of its Bible corruptions and together with nonbelievers to obey the Full Gospel Message of repentance. [footnote]Since, then, we know what it is to fear the Lord, we try to persuade men. (2 Corinthians 5:11). [/footnote] [footnote]He who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy. (Proverbs 28:13) [/footnote] [footnote]With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.” (Acts 2:40) [/footnote] [footnote]”Go, stand in the temple courts,” he said, “and tell the people the full message of this new life.” (Acts 5:20) [/footnote]
